SLIDESHOW OF BOOKS TO BE REVIEWED

BOOK REVIEW #1 :

The International Spy Museum's Handbook on Practical Spying
This is a fun book.  It goes over the basics and makes it an entertaining read while doing so.  If you are looking at a career in intelligence and you hope this book will give you some pearls of wisdom you are probably mistaken.  The book is definitely fun and has a kind of cool size and binding, but this book is more likely to be useful in inspiring you to fulfill your dreams rather than giving you any significant techniques.

BOOK REVIEW #2:

The Spy's Guide to Office Espionage
This is the companion book to the first book reviewed.  It is about the same size and has the same binding.  They are a nice pair.  This guide is more practical and hands on.  You will get more "nuggets" from this text than the Spy Museum's book.  The layout of the book looks very good and the content of the book leaves you wondering more about the field.  The best part of this book is that it makes you think.  You will go to sleep with "I wonder..." on your mind.

Secrets of Computer Espionage - Tactics and Countermeasures
This book is all you might imagine it is.  You want this!  If you are looking for specifics and detailed analysis, and something really worth reading, then pick this up.  For the price you certainly get a lot.  This is basically "Spy/Hacker 101" book.  This book would be great as a text that actually delivers content; Secrets of Computer Espionage is a practical text, not just theory.  This book won't make you a spy or a hacker, but it will certainly lay a foundation.

BOOK REVIEW #4:

"SOE Syllabus" aka. "How to Be a Spy" - Lessons in Ungentlemanly Warfare
If you are looking for a manual on spying, well that is exactly what this is; this the SOE's actual spy manual from World War II.  The text is complete, without any deletions.  It is intriguing from a historical sense, bringing one to imagine what it must have been like to risk your life for your God and country in an era of great Evil.  The Special  Operations Executive (SOE) was the paramilitary arm of the British government, they were the people responsible for sabotage, infiltration, and dirty tricks.  The completness of this text is quite remarkable.  This is definitely a how-to book that will keep you reading into the wee hours of the night.

Steal This Computer Book 4.0: What They Won't Tell You About the Internet
Are you looking for fun?  THIS is fun!  Have you ever wanted to know what the Black-hat Hackers Know?  Take a look at this to find out.  This is both informational and instructive, including a disc of "hacking" utilities.  If you are new to the hacking culture and want to explore all you can as soon as possible, then this concise and complete guide is something you should make an investment in.  Well written, having a humor to it that will keep you reading.  Along with Secrets of Computer Espionage, these two should be the texts for Computer Hacking 101.  Now we're just waiting for an updated edition.  Before I buy this book for my friends I'm going to wait until release 5.0 of this text, because things like TOR and I2P are not fully explored.
